Kent and I went to the Farmers Restaurant and Bakery for supper last Saturday. It had been quite a while since we had made the trek over there and I'm not really sure why. They have the best comfort food in the area. My favorite thing on the menu is their chicken and waffles.
Don't the look delicious. I wish I had some right now and most likely every time I read this post. I enjoyed them so much that I have created Rule to Live By #519 - If chicken and waffles are on the menu, get them. Trust me you will not be sorry.

The Sweet Divine
Several times a year my company throws together an appreciation event for the entire staff. This weeks event might go down as my favorite. We were able to choose a cupcake from one of these delicious choices.
From this delightful food truck, The Sweet Divine Cupcake Truck.
Of course, I got the Salted Caramel cupcake.
It was the right amount of salty and sweet. Heavenly!

Brunch at Brassire
I tried a "new to me" brunch place on Sunday, Brassire. It's a cute little place in the Central West End.
A girls brunch with Jan and Hannah. We had such a good time we are going to make brunch our new challenge. With a menu like this I'm not sure how we could go wrong.
We shared an order of the house mad fresh cheese and sweet beignets which were delicious. I ordered the hazelnut waffle with apples and creme fraiche. Yum! They were so delicious but it seems like I might have a thing for waffles right now. :)

Reclaiming the 80s 5k
I loved the idea of an 80s race theme. The race was in Benton Park last Saturday. Most importantly I had to prepare my outfit. Think hot pink and white with bangs. Yup I teased my bangs. Awe the memories.
It was extremely hot but worth the finish.
I will definitely be doing this race again next year.
Don Johnson was there.
And the girl from the Go-Go's album.
